Honor Society held its second meeting Oct. 3 to finalize (plans for selling .refreshments at home games. gam-es. This year's officers are Terry Drake, President; Carl Brechtel, vice presi dent; and Sandra Ray- Jnnond, secre'tary-treasurer. Lynn Bradshaw, . Sally (Burks, Harry Cleveland, 'Rhonda Dowley, Dennis Gardner, Kim Jones, Cheryl Cher-yl Maughan, Bruce Prieh-ard, Prieh-ard, and Connie Walker, members of the All ' State Chorus, journeyed to Salt Lake City last Friday to sing at the tabernacle du ring UEA convention. The Moab Red Devils were defeated by the Central Cen-tral Warriors Friday night 6 to 30. Robert Knight made the only Devil score. The Pep Club and band marching team entertained entertain-ed the spectators during half time with a performance perform-ance that centered around the theme "Hey Look Us Over." There was a dance sponsored spon-sored by the sophomore class following the game. Pep Club had its drawing for the four footed donkey they were raffling at the dance. Darrell Benson was the lucky winner. John Riley received announcement an-nouncement that he is a finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Testing :-::::"X":-xx:::x:w-:- program. Kathy Reeder was also given a commendation commen-dation in the tests given last spring. Kenny Yama received a letter from Senator Wallace Wal-lace Bennett concerning his application to the , Air Force Academy, which indicated in-dicated that Kenny was S'tiK being considered and that he was to take the Civil Service and medical examination at Hill Air Force Base near Ogden. This afternoon a Nat ional School Assembly was ,hefld durijig 5th (period. Mr. Malcolm Henderson Davie, from Scotland, entertained en-tertained the student body with presentations on his bagpipes. Student Council has been meeting in the mornings before school and the classes clas-ses have been holding class meetings ; after school to make plans for Homecoming, Homecom-ing, which is Nov. 3 and 4. 'Midterm has passed and notices of students failing to achieve passing grades have bon sent to the office. The parents of these students will be notified. no-tified. Vesuvius Club will hold its first meeting Thursday night at the home of Debbie Deb-bie Konkel. Officers for the year will be elected. There is a game with Union this Friday at 8. The Devils are looking forward for-ward to their first home win after losing to Central last weekend. |
