A Nielson passed away at the Veterans hospital In Grand Junction Colorado September 20 1957 He was taken from his home In Bluff Utah to the hospital on September 17 Relatives were called to his bedside on Thursday He appeared so much better that that they returned to their homes in Monticello Friday afternoon late They had hardly arrived when the message came of his sudden passing The death was a shock to his hla many friends as few knew of his illness i Floyd A. A Nielson was bom born January Jan Jan- January uary 9 9 1914 at Bluff Utah the son of Freeman and Margaret Perkins Nielson As he grew up he helped his father with his cattle As a young man he went to work as assistant supervisor as a range rider on the Navajo reservation which position he held for five years He went wait into the Army March 13 1941 He earned the rank of Sergeant and taught mechanics to our allied Chinese While in service he was awarded the American Defense ribbon Good Conduct Medal American Theatre ribbon and the World War II Victory medal He was discharged at Lowry Field November 20 1945 Lloyd and his sister Mrs Trina Williams have owned and operated operated oper opere the Twin Rocks Trading Post at Bluff Utah for the past year He Is survived by a small daughter Rebecca of f Mancos Colorado His mother Mrs Margaret Mar Mar- garet g ret Nielson of Monticello four tour brothers Martin MarUn and Richard of Bluff Druff Utah Jack of Arlee Montana Mon Mon- tana and Milton of Monticello Two sisters Mrs Janet Blake of Monticello and Trina Williams i s of Bluff A number of other rela tives and a host of friends Byron Eastin and hel helper er were were last week installing a natura natural gas f furnace maee In the basement o 61 ot Mrs Margaret Nielson's Nielsen's home on West Circle Drive New babies at the San Juan County hospital are A girl for Mr and Mrs Robert J J.
