Show CIVIC CENTER OPEN HOUSE WEliATTENDED Latest developments at the . Bingham Civic Center were opened op-ened officially for public inspection inspec-tion Wednesday night, when over ov-er 500 residents of the area and special guests toured the recreational rec-reational building. Earl T. James and Mayor C.A. (Spud) Morley, co-chairmen of the community project, announced announc-ed that further developments at the center would include renovation reno-vation of the swimming pool in the basement of the old school building and beautification of the grounds. Facilities now include a gymnasium, gym-nasium, dining and kitchen area, clubrooms for the Teen age club and Boy and Girl Scouts, class rooms, shooting range, dance floor and dressing rooms. Honored guests at the official opening of the center and at the Lions club dinner meeting preceding pre-ceding the open house were: Mel Wright, Salt Lake City, Lions International director; Dell Sessions, Ses-sions, Bountiful, Lions International Interna-tional counsellor; Robert Pixton, Riverton, Lions district governor; L. F. Pctt, superintendent of Kennecott Copper Corp, Utah Copper Division; Dr. Smith and Mr. Bailey, Salt Lake county recreation re-creation board members; Elmo Brady and Shelly Vincent, Salt Lake county recreation program supervisors; Walter Abplanalp, Lark, Lions zone chairman; Dr. Paul S. Richards and Rev. John LaBranche. Guest speaker at the dinner meeting was Gregory Roumpos who delivered an interesting in-teresting Americanism talk. The Civic Center project IS' sponsored by the Bingham district dis-trict Activity Fund, Lions club, city of Bingham and Salt Lake county Recreation Ass'n, |
