| Show reporting in detail We take this opportunity to point to Ii a a series of articles beginning two weeks ago and running until the first week in November on the proposed 1 million water bond issue facing Moab's voters on November 7 We vie have gone into the Zhe subject in minute detail and hope to cover all nil phases of it before election day If there are questions ns still unanswered we hope our readers bring them to our attention so the answers can be obtained obtained obtained ob ob- from appropriate officials and made p public In our news feature series on the bond proposal we have not attempted to color the picture one way or orthe orthe orthe the other We tie feel strongly on the subject but do no feel that aWe a front page news spot is the place to bring forth our own thoughts on the matt matter r. r In our search for information we have found that Moab's sewage disposal problem is not one to pass off lightly Further we cannot hide the fact that any new growth in the community will require additional water transmission and storage facilities I This is only one side of the picture however On the theother theother theother other side sits a one one- million dollar bill biU and if approved ed this will constitute an obligation to Moab's residents for thirty years We feel that the bond issue should be approved That does not mean that we feel voters should back our opinion on our recommendations alone That is the reason reason reas reas- on for the series current currently running on ur front page If the water bond passes It is our hope nope that those who voted for it will be people who thoroughly investigated the proposal and then formed an nn opinion |
