Show City Court Hashed Over by City and County Officials The Moab City Court came under un der close scrutiny today in a Joint meeting of the Moab City C Coun Council un ell cil and the Grand County Com Corn mission Operation costs cost and income in come of the court were brought out In an attempt to clear up seme question in the minds of county commissioners The court was formed last year by the city council and has since that time taken a good deal of emphasis from the Justice of the Peace setup set that has existed in the county and city for some time tune Mayor K E. E McDougald Issued a request for tor all businessmen of Moab to attend the next regular city council meeting to take part partIn In the discussion of the city court and its operation City Attorney A. A Reed Reynolds Reynolds Rey Rey- explained to the group the functions and Jurisdiction of the city court and stated further that it was his opinion n that the city court had a beneficial place in n Moab A question of charges pertainIng pertainIng pertaining pertain pertain- ing to county cases handled by the city court was brought up by Commission Chairman O. O E E. E Boulden and Commissioner Jack E. E Riley It was pointed out that the county was receiving fifty per cent of the Income from county cases tried by the city court but there was some question question question ques ques- tion as to whether or not the city court was paying a charge for expenses Incurred in obtainIng obtainIng obtaining obtain obtain- ing medical tests on suspects from the Dr I.
