Show Couple Holds Open House HouseIn In Mr and Mrs Sam Wilson long time residents resident of celebrated their thel fiftieth wedding anniversary last las weekend The two-day two celebration was highlighted by an open house at their home Sunday which was wa well attended by friends and rela tives A family gathering was held Monday at the home of their son Stewart Wilson Twenty two members of the family were press pres present ent and a program was wu presented Mr and Mrs Wilson were married In Winfield Kans In 1905 and they moved to in 1911 Mr Wilson Is credited for havIng havIng hav Ing established the popularity of the cantaloupe which has nas been shipped to eastern markets mark ets in carload lots for many years through the Wilson Produce Co Wilson and his sons are presently presently pres pres- engaged In the raising of sheep and cattle in the valley The Wilsons have been very ac ac- ac ive tive In church work and community Ity ty affairs Mrs Wilson has been superintendent of the Presbyterian Sunday school for tor 25 years and Wilson has been an elder for 40 years They have six sons and daughters daugh daugh- ers Lorin Stewart and Francis all of Mrs Gerald French of Newport Ore Mrs Helen Heien Seal of Seattle Wash and Mrs Mrs Molly Jean Gildez of Los Angeles Calif and ten grand grand- children Among the out of town guests were Olive Jordan of Winfield Kans Cans sister of Mrs Wilson Mr and Mrs Roberts of Winfield Kans a sister and brother law of Mrs Wilsons Wilson's Dr and Mrs George Wilson of St. St Louis Mo I |
