Show MRS ELLEN FOWLER DIES AT SALT LAKE CITY WAS BASIN MINE OWNER Mrs Eleen Louise Ostlund Fowler 74 died Friday at Salt Lake City of a cerebral vascular lar accident Funeral services were conducted Monday at E. E South Temple Salt Lake and interment took place In that city Mrs Fowler was the widow of Marlon Marion Irving Fowler one of f the last Pony Express riders and nd a pioneer mining man He died led in ira February 1941 Mr and Mrs Fowler for many years I spent pent their summers In Miners Miner's Basin asin w where ere they owned In nir Mrs Fowler st till I w owned ed several claims at atthe atthe atthe the time of her death A daughter of Anders Niel son on and Louisa Ostlund Ost Ost- lund she was born Au Aug 7 1876 In n Salt Lake City She married Mr Fowler about 50 years ago and they continued to live in Salt Lake City spending their summers in Miners Miner's Basin and H at Moab Since Mr Fowlers Fowler's death 10 vears years ago Mrs Fowler had con to to visit in Moab cacao summer until ill health Inter Inter- Mrs Fowler was an active member of the church serving In the Relief Society and other ward activities She wrote plays pertaining to gene gene- and the church which were presented at various winds wards Survivors include her cousin Elma J. J Burton with whom she lived Ived and a niece Mrs Holda Anderson both of Salt Lake City Several other nieces and nephews survive |
