Show FIRST SECURITY TO REMAIN OPEN ON SATURDAYS The 41 banks of the First Security Se-curity system, embracing Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, will remain open on Saturdays during the summer months, President George Geo-rge S. Eccles announced today. Eccles stated the decision was reached after a survey of the area served by First Security banks disclosed a continued need for Saturday service, due to increased in-creased industrial payrolls and heavy retail sales. "A careful study of the situation," situa-tion," he said, "convinced First Security bank officials that the public and businessmen need, and are entitled to this service." "Therefore," he concluded, "in keeping with our policy to render rend-er complete service at all times, Saturday bankink service will be available to Intermountain residents resi-dents this summer through the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon." Mr. Eccles pointed out that Saturday is often the only day of the week farmers and working men can visit shopping centers and banks, making it impxrative to maintain banking service throughout the year to meet this need. He also took the occasion to refer to harmonious employer-employee employer-employee relationships in the First Security system. Eccles stated present conditions, which include a standard 40-hour week, a liberal pension plan, a family hospitalization and health plan, group life insurance and a career plan in bank training all add up to make ideal and secure jobs for employees. |
