Show MOAB RANCHER AND STOCKMAN SUDDENLY STRICKEN FUNERAL SERVICES TODAY albert D danny holyoak 50 years of age aeu moab rancher and gt died suddenly early tuesday morning as the result of a heart attack mr holyoak had gone to bed monday evening in his usual good spirits after working all day on his lanan about two 0 clock tuesday morning h complained of feeling cold reaching for the bed coverings be was suddenly stricken and died instantly mr holyoak had been a sufferer from heart trouble tor a number of years funeral services were held at 2 0 clock today from the L D S chapel and were attended by a large number ot sorrowing friends many beautiful floral tributes attested the general esteem in which mr holyoak was held by the community bishop W D hammond presided fase services were opened by a selection by the choir nearer dear savior to thee followed by the invocation by J H johnson mrs john and mrs reed somerville sang sometime well understand W R was the first speaker and told of his long acquaintance with mr holyoak and of the batters lat exemplary life he discussed mr holy oaks firm belief in the tenets of his church and of bis zealous christian work while on this earth mrs C A loveridge Loie ridge rendered a solo oh my father bishop hammond told of mr holyoak s lifetime of work for his church mentioning the fact that he had served on two missions and had in every way done his utmost to advance the interests of his church both of the speakers highly eulogized mr holyoak s character the services were closed with a selection by the choir abide with me followed by the benediction by george A newell albert daniel holyoak was the son of henry and sarah robinson holyoak early pioneers of moab who preceded him in death by only a few years he was bom at paragonah Para gonah iron county utah september 1 1879 and came to moab with his parents when a bo he grew to manhood here engaging in ranching and cattle raising on february 19 1925 he married miss etholyn S dunn mr holyoak is survived by his widow and two daughters genevieve Genev leve three years old and sarah ann aged one year one arother lr other john holyoak of moab and two sisters mrs euza mcconkle of vernal utah and mrs alice jane thomson of Cards don alberta canada also survive the sudden death of air holyoak was a keen blow to his many friends at moab few men are more generally aked and respected than was he he as scrupulously honest in all of his dealings with his fellow man and he commanded the friendship and good will of everyone with whom he came into contact the sincere sympathy of the community goes out in full measure to the bereaved wife and babies |
