E Asbridge for city commissioner augurs well for a heavy vote next Tuesday election day and arid this is a result much to be desired In the past it has som sometimes times been the case case that the workingman has found it inconvenient to visit the polls and cast his ballot long hours of work robbing him of the ambition to exercise the right of franchise On the other hand no no such hours of labor have interfered with the voting of the theer er the e tenderloin and the professional politician fe is the for commissioner an independent independent inde inde- Mr r. r Asbridge making race as pendent candidate In some quarters effort has been made to connect his candidacy with J. J E. E Darmer aspirant for the mayoralty but Mr Asbridge has denied that he is aligned with any candidate He has also denied that George Wilson Vilson and Harry Clark V who are active in the support of Mr Darmer have any part in the management management management manage manage- ment of his campaign Union labor has has thrown its support to Mr Asbridge because he is a union man but he is not aspiring to office as a union labor candidate He is running independently and as a a citizen of Salt Lake City The fact is he will receive the votes of many employers and many who have never been connected with a labor Jabor union for his reputation for fairness and and hi his worth as s a public citizen has been fully established His candidacy we believe will encourage a heavy vote on election day But we would urge Mr Asbridge's friends that they refrain from being so politically enthusiastic as to plug for him while withholding a vote for the two others to be elected |
