Prompt Response I ITHE THE call catl for the people of Salt Lake City to express their opinion In regard to the daylight saving law has met with prompt response and a general unanimity of expression in favor of the measure Similar expression has been had In other cities where I the matter has been presented for consideration and it would appear that the great majority of the people are in favor of a daylight saving l law w. w Congress repealed repeated the law but this action can easily be ex ex- Many members of congress were against the law because because because be be- beI I cause President Wilson favored it That's politics of a sort Others were influenced by the protests that had been presented certain farming interests chi chiefly fly truck gardeners It is a hard- hard under ordinary conditions for the truck gardener to get his farm rf j. j products to market before the business day starts and still f order harder r er when the day is made to start an hour earlier The protest was therefore forthcoming and on the other there were ere few sufficiently interested to appear as exponents measure But when the law was finally repealed and the ss' ss men and arid w workers of the country began to recall the multifold multi- multi 7 7 fold advantages of the daylight saving plan they became aroused j 1 nd C the present agitation is the results result The daylight saving plan directly benefits tenths nine or more of the people T Therefore it should prevail It appears safe to toH H predict t it will be adopted throughout Utah and very probably it I 4 will aga again n be made a national regulation i I
