S Loveless Pioneer Dies at Payson PAYSON Oct 7 Mrs Sar Sarah SarahJane b bJane Jane Loveless who was the oldest lady residing in Payson died at her home homo in the Fourth ward Tuesday in her eighty-eighth eighty year She had been ill for only one week Mrs 1 Loveless was the daughter of Samuel and Sarah Printis gins and was born in Salem Mass August 14 1839 She was the oldest oldest oldest old old- est In a family of four girls who with their parents left for Utah In 1850 1350 having been converted to the L. L D D. S S. S church Through sickness sickness sick sick- ness and privation the mother became became became be be- came discouraged and remained In Illinois where her youngest child had died The remainder of the family crossed the plains In Archibald Archibald Archibald Archi Archi- bald Gardners Gardner's company Mrs 1 Loveless Loveless Loveless Love Love- less was stricken with cholera on the trip and at one time was given up for dead They arrived in Salt Lake in the summer of ot 1862 1852 They later latel moved to Nephi and then to Provo where she met Joseph Jacson Jackson Jackson Jack Jack- son Loveless to whom she was married In 1856 coming directly to I Payson where she had since sinco re re- re sided She Sho was the mother of five sons and five daughters all of whom are dead Three sons were accidentally killed She has forty grandchildren dren thirty-six thirty great dren and three great grand children She Sho is also survived by byone byone byone one sister Mrs Elizabeth Morris aged 85 86 of Salt Lake and a sonin- sonin law William VIlliam Wignal Vigna of Payson Funeral Funeral Funeral Fu Fu- services will be held Friday at at 2 p. p m. m in the Fourth ward chapel |
