W Newton of the Franklin Motor MotorCar Car company who has just returned from the Chicago automobile show And the answer that came back indicated indi cat d that the majority who attended regarded the show as an institution in the trade which because of the rapidly growing Interest year ear by year is proving itself indispensable It seems that every year ear Is provIng proving proving ing a record breaker he said This year ear the admissions were considerably larger which they thought a wonderful record but from past experiences es dealers will naturally look forward and manufacturers will try to make next years year's show better than ever And I believe this is the view of ot the majority of dealers The results of a national show are acknowledged by the great stimulus which the shows exert upon automo automo- automobile bile interest This reason alone makes I the tho effort worth while Tho The volume of sales of course has varied wiel widely I yet et more and more this particular se pha-se Is being In importance importance I tance b by the educational value of the trie shows While there have b been en times when dealers have gone into shows I for tor the reason that the other fellow is represented yet today the show Is accepted a as an exceptional means for dispensing information if the opinion of many of ot the dealers who attended is indicative of the general rend trend Practical exhibits along educational lines were worked out by many exhibitors exhibitors tors tore some featuring power some speed some somo beauty and some efficiency Summing up the benefits derived from the shows I believe that any anyone anyone anyone one who will attend or participate is invariably repaid many times over oyer |
