Show R Junior Junior Police Buglers I HI J ey Wait Fete at Park L 41 fr 4 n b ti r R S nv 3 4 4 n oi CONRAD EADES Calls his pals Sixteen hundred Salt Lake City school children children children chil chil- dren Friday awaited a picnic lunch and a full lull afternoon of games and sports The event is the annual outing for members members members mem mem- bers of schools' schools drum and bugle corps color guards and junior traffic patrols which will be beheld beheld beheld held Saturday at the city and county building grounds and Liberty park First event on the days day's program will be a brief patriotic service at the flagpole on the city and county building grounds at 10 a. a m. m Escorted by mobile units of the police and fire departments they will parade to Liberty park where a special program will be presented present present- ed at the bandstand The drum and bugle corps will play during the parade After the program a picnic lunch will be served by members of the auxiliary to the United United United Unit Unit- ed Spanish War Var Veterans and Teacher Parent-Teacher association groups All the children will wear badges to identify themselves Sponsors of the outing are The Salt Lake Telegram which sponsors the bugle corps and the color guards the United Spanish War Veterans Veterans Veterans Vet Vet- erans the Salt Lake City board of education members of which will be special guests at the lunch Salt Lake City commissioners some of whom will be luncheon guests teacher parent-teacher groups and the city recreation department The Utah Light and Traction company will provide free transportation for the children to the city and county building grounds in the morning morning morning morn morn- ing ing and to their homes in the afternoon provided provid provid- ed ed they leave the park by 4 p p. p m m. |
