Jury With Negro Condemns 2 Blacks MARION Ark Jan 7 UP UP- UP Two negroes were condemned to todie todie todie die today by a jury that included one negro It was one of the few Instances in the so south th since reconstruction where a negro had sat as a juror It was a direct result of a supreme court decision overthrowing one of the Scottsboro convictions because because because be be- cause negroes had been excluded from the jury panel The condemned negroes are Frank Carter 26 and Theo Thomas Thom Thom- as 25 who dragged Miss Maple Wilson 18 out of the car of her escort and raped her The negro juror was John Claybrook Claybrook Claybrook Clay- Clay brook 66 a well well-to-do farmer and lumberman
