Lael Smith Wed Weel Wedin in Rites Here T A marriage of ot social interest which took place on Friday evening was that of Miss Lad Lael Smith daughter of ot Mr and Mrs Newel Whitney Smith of Farmington and Kyle AlIen Allen Allen Al Al- len Ien Bettilyon son of ot Mr and Mrs Mrs' V. V A. A Bettilyon First avenue The ceremony was performed at atthe atthe atthe the Hyrum J. J Jensen home on Highland Highland Highland High High- land drive at 8 p. p m. m C. C Clarence officiating The bridal party stood in an al alcove alcove al- al cove formed of Boston ferns palms and floor baskets arranged in a semicircle filled with Briarcliff and Killarney roses The bride was charming in a model of pale blue satin made with drop- drop shoulder effect and long train A finger tip veil of ot blue tulle was held to her head with a coronet of ot seed pearls and her bouquet was of gardenias lilies of the valley and rosebuds The bridesmaids Miss Irma McKean McKean McKean Mc- Mc Kean Miss Cavell Brown and Miss Aline Bettilyon and the attending matron Mrs Charles J. J Ketchum Jr were frocked alike in gowns of pink taffeta with Juliet caps of seed pearls and blue satin slip slip- pers They carried arm bouquets of blue sweet peas and ping roses Verden A. A Bettilyon brother of the bridegroom acted as best man The brides bride's mother wore a black velvet model with white lace jacket and corsage of ot gardenias and the bridegrooms bridegroom's mother wore a Molyneux Molyneux Molyneux Moly- Moly ensemble of black Romayne crepe and a corsage of gardenias A reception followed the wedding The table was centered with a large wedding cake and bowls of pink and white sweet peas Mr and Mrs Reed Thorpe Mr and Mrs Rowland Williams and Mr and Mrs George E. E Peterson assisted in receiving and those serving were Miss Afton Miss Betty Hansen Miss Betty Dreschel and Miss Bonnie McKean Miss Norma Fairbanks Mrs Muriel Muriel Muriel Mu Mu- riel Smith Mrs J.
