J G Gf McDonald The busiest place o on t the grounds is the office of the s secretary Horace S Ensign Jr Matters of detail came with a rush but they were wele handled expeditioUSly to the end that on Monday Mon Ion day morning when the formal opening Q of the fair takes place there will not bea be a feature lacking to make the fair fall the most successful in the history of the state To an unusual extent the exhibits exhibit are read ready 3 for Inspection although i in nearly all of the department there are some finishing touches to be added Practically all of the exhibits are complete and only the work of I decorating remains to be done In the coliseum the horse and cattle exhibits will not be complete until to tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow to- to morrow night some of the tho blooded stock having been dela delayed ed in arrival Blue ribbon animals are reaching the grounds In a a. steady stream and there will not be a n. vacant stall when patrons patrons' of the fair arrive on Monday morning The manufacturers' manufacturers building g is a hive of industry and there is a broader demonstration of of Industrial Utah than at any previous fair In this bi building all of the exhibits are ready for in inspection and many which are giving practical demonstrations of manufacture manufacture ture turo are under way The midway attractions have not yet et put in an appearance much to the disappointment disappointment dis dis- appointment of the small boy bov who Is strongly In evidence But the diving girls and the sword swallowers will be here on Monday 1 with the ear splitting spicIer and the megaphone announce announce- ment Live stock Judging was commenced this morning but as all of the entered animals have not yet arrived this will not be concluded until Monday The sport program will start this afternoon by a pushball game between the east and west high school teams This will be followed b a harness race for Utah bred horses An automobile race is scheduled Charles W.
