M Garnett and Paul Kir- Kir wan After each man had defeated I his opponent In their previous matches they staged the fastest game yet played in the tourney Kirwan started out with a series of hard drives that took I his opponent off his Jeet feet and was well wellon on his way for the second set when Garnett hit his stride Garnett took the second and third sets after a hard fight tight winning the match The scores were 6 4 6 3 and 6 Another well played match snatch was between between between be be- tween State Champion T.
