OCR Text	Show Union of Slaves in Antebellum Days Legal Court Says TATTLE LITTLE ROCK Ark Oct 5 The The Arkansas supreme court today declared the unions of or negro slaves in the tite antebellum days legal marriages even though no marriage ceremony was performed The decision was given In a case Involving property which a negro had inherited inherited inherited in in- from his slave grandfather grand grand- father His title was attacked on the ground that his father was an illegitimate child The court held that although the grandparents of the negro in the present case never went through a marriage ceremony they ther were legally married according to the customs of oC their time
