F Cullen Cuta Cut Cut- len a locomotive engineer was killed d' d dI h here heie Ie earl early this morning wh when n he I Jumped from a n runaway train on the I work workings I of ot the Utah C Copper comI company com corn pan pany I w was vas s employed by the tIle Utah Construction company which is doing some sonic excavating work for lor the copper company He w was s in charge of ot a locomotive with two oil cars cais which was descending the steep grade on what is known as the Copper Belt Half way down the grade tile the train broke from r m control controL- Cullen climbed out on the running bo board rd and jumped to to- the mountain side of ot the tracks He lie failed to obtain a n. footing and anti was thrown back under the wheels He was killed killed- probably Instantly The train continued down th the grade and did no damage finally coming to toa toa toa a stop when the thia engine Jumped lumped the track Cullen came to Bingham a week ago fr from m Grand and Junction where his wife and family reside The body is held at the ODonnell O'Donnell chapel here pending word from relatives |
