C Tichenor of Utah in general and investors of the state in R RESIDENTS particular are taking an immense amount of interest in the prevailing oil booms in the various fields in Texas Aside from the me importance of the Texas Texas' oil booms to the petroleum industry as a whole the interest being taken here in connection connection con con- with the activity in the industry in the Lone Star state is due in part to the fact that a a number of Utah men now are operating operating oper- oper successfully in Texas and investors in stocks of certain companies corn com have developed holdings in several Texas fields are arc realizing handsomely on their investments In addition to this reports of the enormous sums realized by owners of lands from farms to town lots and the immense profits made by leasing operators from the production of oil give the people of Utah renewed hope that eventually the time will come when this I state will experience an oil boom that will be as intense as that now under way in the Empire state of the South That this event will transpire is as certain as the coming of time and the indications are that it may be inaugurated during the coming spring as the result of development operations now under wa and others which will e started within the next few weeks i In the meantime the investors of this state will continue to watch i with interest the progress progress' of th the boom in Texas which gives promise of increasing in extent and of lasting an indefinite period
