E Van Loan humorist and famous as asa asa a wrIter of stories on sporting topics died yesterday of chronic nephritis at ata ata a hospital In Pa near here Mr Van Loan came to Philadelphia from his home in Los Angeles on business busi- busi ness and goon Oon after his arrival he became be- be came ill III and was hurried to the hospi- hospi tal Ills wife and two children were summoned and were at his bedside when he passed away He was 43 years old LOS ANGELES March Over come by the news of the death of his son Charles E E.
