Elks and their "dears' next week. There will not be a camel among them. The herd, which will number- at least 250, is aeheduled to arrive in a special train next Sunday night, J. H. Man derfield. assistant general freight and passenger agent for the Salt Lake route, having received word today that the Elks will leave Los Angeles Bat urday. The visitors will remain in this city from one to three weeks, their tickets having a thirty-day limit, and the local Klka, members of Halt Lake lodge No. 85, will see to it that the grazing is good as long as they may decide to stav. The excursion is plsnned by the Ssnta Monica Elks to give them snd their friends a chance to "get even" with the bait Lake lodge, which makes its California excursion a feature every year, and the Santa Monica people will De followed later by a big crowd of Angeleno Elks and their families and friends, who will visit in Salt Lake citv for a week or two ea route to Yellowstone park for a July outing. The, Salt Lake lodge will have charge of the entertainment of the visitors though the support of all business ana professional men and eitixens is solicited so-licited in msking; the visitors feel at home during their stsy ia this eity. Holley have been appointed a committee to provide entertainment for the Santa Monicans, and have rounded out a general program for the occasion, though detailed arrangements are held pending the arrival or a representative rep-resentative of the Santa Monica lodge, who is expected daily.
