Show BETTLES ESTATE GOES TO WIFE AND FAMILY The will of Alfred J. Bettles, the late mining man snd a member of the Alta club, who died in this eity August 3, 1911, was filed for probate in the probate pro-bate division of the third district court this morning. Accompanying the will is a petition of the widow. Mrs. Grace Ann Bettles, inking that letters of administration ad-ministration he issued to her, Thomas Weir snd Henry Castrow, as provided under the terms of the will. The estate, es-tate, which is said to consist of mining min-ing stocks, and which, according to the will, is vslued st 425.000, is bequeathed to the widow and four children, who are declared to be the only heirs. The personal property mentioned is the only property which is referred to in the petition, and no reference is riade to other property that the deceased de-ceased man might have bad. . Under the proviaion of the will the widow is to receive $4000 per year from the estste. and in the event of her death or her refusal for any reason to accept the vearly amount as her share, the estate shall be closed aad distribut ed shsre and there alike among the four children. The will was signed on April 23, 1910, and is attested by Charles W. L. Stevens and Benjamin B. Hall. The will is a rather unique document, written in red ilk, in the hand writing of the deceased and countersigned by the testator at the center of the outer edge of each sheet. Each page of the document is numbered at the top and at frequent iatervali between the paragraphs. Under tha will the executors are empowered em-powered to continue and carry on nil business enterprises in which Mr. Bettles Bet-tles was engaged at the time of his death, the first accounting to be made in six months. Thereafter -aa annual accounting ia provided for on Jane IS of each year. The heirs to the estate, as eet forth in the will, are: Grace, Ann Bettles, the widow: Charlott May Battles Castrow, Grace Bettlea Ron echo. Gordan Meldrua Bettlea and Helen Bettles. i |
