Show DRUG STORES MUST CONFORM TO LAW Notice was given to every drug store doing business in this city this morning that the police department will not under any circumstance tolerate tol-erate the slightest infraction of the ordinances or of the state law prohibit, ing the sale of opium, morphine, chloral, cocaine or any of their derivatives, unless un-less on a prescription nigned by rP" utable physician. "There have been violations of the drug law by druggists that the police department has not vet been able to fanten upon the guiltv men," said D tective Captain Hi ley M. fieckstead day. "There is not a known opium den in operation in this city, though there are several places under suspiciou. There are more Greek and Japs running run-ning opium dos and similar drug dens than there are Chinese. It is an extremely ex-tremely difficult matter to get the evidence, evi-dence, hut a close watch is being kept for them.'
