The old officers that were re-elected will make but few ekangea, although ia some of the offices offi-ces heavy pressure is being brought to bear for ehaagea. One of the earliest announcements of persons out after positions was that of 5 4 Joe" Cottle, who has been a dry goods clerk for years. He believes that Se . is entitled to a position at the county poorhouse the position of superintendent su-perintendent in place of James Sabine, Jr. Cottle has been one of the active party workers. Whether the majority of the board will sustain Sabine is still in doobt. He has made a good record and placed the institution in good condition. Commissioner J. W. Macksy is a strong supporter of Sabine, Sa-bine, while Commissioner-elect J. E. Clinton is believed to be not unfriendly townrd him. - Promptly at noon Monday Parley P. Christensen will hand over the keys of bis office to his successor, Willard Hanson; Han-son; who. during Christensen 's term of office has been the chief deputy county attorney. His shoes will be filed in the offiee-by Job P. Lyon, who now fills the position of second assistant. as-sistant. ( Lron's place will be occupied by David "M. Haigb, former City Attorney At-torney of Hurray. Haigh was also one of former Senator Brown's proteges. Miss Ethel Woodmtnse will continue to be the stenogTspher for the office. The only changes in the office will be the departure of Psrley to the fields of law and the advent of "Dave" Haigh. The office of County Recorder P. O. Perkins will remain the same with perhaps per-haps two exceptions. Perkins will retain re-tain his old chief deputy "Jack" May. A name will be presented to the board for the appointment of a person to take I the place formerly occupied by Miss 1 Lydia Wrier, who resigned to embark upon a different sea-matrimony. One , other change may be made in a clerkship. clerk-ship. Only one change will be made in the office of the County Treasurer. That will e a person to fill the place of "Jack" Groesbeck, who advances to the position of Treasurer, in lieu of W. O. Csrbis. Just who will be the chief deputy in Groesbeck 's place has not been announced. Groesbeck declares de-clares that he is satisfied with the present pres-ent force and has decided to retain all of them. No changes have been announced from the office of Sheriff Emery, although al-though it is understood that great pressure pres-sure will be brought to bear to remove at least three of the twenty denuty sheriffs under him. The removals or changes will be among the thirteen local lo-cal deputies. Frank Heginbotham, County Auditor-elect, Auditor-elect, has announced that his deputies will be Fred C. Bassett and Roscoe C. Vijj&s. County Assessor C. M. Brown will retain his old force, with A. S. Gabbott 3g the chief deputy and W. A. Leatham as an assistant. The Commissioners will probably retain re-tain William Langenbacker as the elevator ele-vator man for the building. For the position held bv C. V.
