Show WAS HIRED TO REPORT ON HOTEL Up John Delaney Makes Con fession Implicating Mc-Namaras Mc-Namaras In Explosion. MUSKOGEE, Okla., June 5. John Delaney, a structural iron worker, late Saturday confessed to Harry Eagan, a representative of the Muskogee Fhoe-nix, Fhoe-nix, in the presence of witnesses.-lhat "ha had been emnjoyed hy John MeNa-roara, MeNa-roara, aecretary and treaaurer of the International In-ternational Association of Bridge and Iron Workera of America, to travel throughout the country carefully inspecting in-specting nil structure being erected by nonunion labor, securing carefully made drawings of such structures, and marking the spot with a cross where dynamite could be mont easily placed f and would be most effective. Delaney in his confession declared that it was his duty to forward the drawings to John J. MrNamara and he did forward them. He still had a few such drawings, bearing the cross marks, in his possession, together with several let tarsal, inatxuetiona Addressed to him and purporting to be signed by AfcNamara. A representative of William J. Burns was here Saturdav and immediately left for the east. The following is Do laney's written confession; Delsney'a Btory. "I know G. K. Skidmore of Pitts-i burg. Pa., local No. 3. I met him the latter part of 1003; we worked together in Pittsburg. Cleveland, Cincinnati and New York City and Buffalo. In the spring of 1904 Mr. tikidraore by request, re-quest, at Cincinati. met me and we went to Indianapolis, and there I met Mr. McNamara in the local union No. 22. Mr. Skidmore gave me an introduction intro-duction to McNamara and at this time McNamara said to me: You have been very highly recommended to me bv Mr. Skidmore and as you are not afraid of anything. I have some work I can use you on with your expenses raid at all times and good money besides. be-sides. Ala., and I waa there about four or five davs when 1 received a Veiter from McNamara Mc-Namara asking roe If I waa going to turn . this proposition down. I notified him that 1 would be bark in Indianapolis aa eoun as this work waa done that I waa working on and Would take the proposition proposi-tion up with him. "The first building I located for Mr. Mi-N'arnara waa In Cincinnati, an office building on Vine street, which waa being erected bv non-union men. I wrote to s, Mr. McN'ftmara. sending him a diagram ' of this office building, showing him the point where dynamite could be placed for th. destruction of this building. Ordered to Salt Lake, "While at Denver I received a letter from McNamara to go to Salt Lake Cily. and I went, arriving there the ltlh day of November. 1909. I registered at the Wabash rooming house. While there I got two letters from McNamara instructing instruct-ing me to find the location of the Utah . hotel and telling me that I would have another party make himself known to me with a letter of Introduction from McNamara. whose name I have forgotten, and thla party would blow up the Utah hotel. Thla building waa blown up on the 29th dav of December at t a. m. At the time thia building waa blown up I was slsndlng one block south of It. When the explosion took place I ran toward It. thinking someone waa killed. When I got close to the building I waa nearly a truck by a piece of Iron and at a r ted to run away again, when I waa taken up by a police officer, who took me before Chief of Police 8am Barlow and Chief of Detectives De-tectives George Sheets. I waa tried tn connection with thla case and given alx months in the count v jail and a fine of 1.150. I paid them $6S the balance waa remitted) and served the sentence. Turned Down by McNamara. , "After leaving the atl I went to Houston. Tex., and there wrote to McNamara Mc-Namara demanding my fee for the part that I had taken in these sffalrs. lie wrote back to nie refusing to give, me anv aid whatever and also advised the local serretarv to take up my union card. e7.
