Show FAMOUS BREEDER OF HORSES IS DEAD NBW YORK, Jan. 2. Xews waa received re-ceived here today of the death at Central Cen-tral Valley, N. Y., of Col. Aaron II. Taylor, dean of the breeders of thoroughbred thor-oughbred trotting horses of Orange coiintjr. lln was 82 years old. As a youth Colonnl Taylor" rame to thin rity and .established a sales stablo at Broadway ami Forty-eocond street. Among his patrons was Commodore Vanderbilt, Major Wood and other prominent horsemen of that period. In Ittto he returned to Central Valley Val-ley and eommeneed tho breeding of trotters a I racing horses at Hosclawn. Among hie fainoua horses were Klorida, fur whuin he is said to have refused an offer of t'JO.tXM, and Hainblrtonian, which he sold to the kiug of Italy for that aiim. The euiperor of llussia waa the purchaser pur-chaser of two other horses, Albert L. and Jim Moulton, for which falnilous prices were paid. |
