Show THIRTEEN INCHES SNOW IN DENVER Heaviest Fall for April Since 1885; a Blizzard Sweeps All Over Colorado but Moisture Is Welcome. DENVER. April 20. Thirteen inches of snow fell in I)enver during tho twenty-four hours ending at C o'clock this morning. It was the heaviest snowfall in twelve months, and the greatest precipitation recorded in April since 1SS5. PUEBLO., Colo., April 20. The snowstorm which began at noon yesterday yester-day has continued without a break until un-til 10 o'clock today, and the weather bureau experts several hours more of it. About six inches of suow has fallen bore. . COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., April 21. About ten inches of snow fell during last night, and the storm this morning shows no sign of abatement. Although there has been some damage to fruit by reason of the cold weather, this is small in comparison with the benefit to the farniiug lands of eastern Colorado The weather cleared during the forenoon. fore-noon. The storm was general throughout through-out the State. While some damage has been done to fruit trees, tho moisture is of incalculable benefit to farmers and gardeners. |
