Show partme.nt working shafts is being pushed along, and 350 feet of depth already al-ready has been attained in this drive. Within thirty days the management estimates that they will have the shaft down to the 400-foot level, which will be the greatest depth that has been attained in the ground. From this point drifting to tho immense ledges will be inaugurated, and doubtless some very important disclosures of ore made. COLUMBUS CON. FAVORABLE. Superintendent Al Jacobson of the Columbus Consolidated mines at Alta, came down from that camp laat night and reports that the weather is clearing nicely in that district and that the roads are drying up so that the teams are able to handle more of the product from the mine than at any previous time this year. Of conditions at the mine, he says that there are 1000 tons of crude ore in the bins and 500 tons of concentrate. All of this product has been taken out in doing development as the managers have not stoped a pound of ore for a long time. This congestion con-gestion of product makes it impossible for the company to begin the extraction of ores, and simply resolves the proposition propo-sition to confining the efforts of the company to doing development work onlv. A loading station is being built at the mine for the transportation of the ores over the new aerial tramway, which will be completed within a couple of month. Until this new line is completed and the tramway is put into operation the company will have to depend upon the capacity of the teams to get the ores to the market. In the meantime sufficient Product will be taken to the market by he teams to meet all of the expense of operation, and pile up sufficient revenue to provide for the dividend and all improvements im-provements that are contemplated.
