In most instances tha market waa strong, with, one or two arf tha stocks moving up to the price from Which they fell a few days ago. AJax took the lead at 37 and Jic, with Carls second at 67c. closing strong at that price. Little Bell was next, only 200 shares coming out at $5.75. May Day waa In strong demand at 22 and 2Jc. several thousand share being- sold. Star Con.. too, wma etrorur at 2o and. 2c. l ncle Sam Con. sold an odd lot at 42c. Black - Jack showed strength at 72 and "Sc. with mora In demand at tha latter price. Ingot In-got got In at 6 and Sic, while New Tork showed signs of weakness at 21c. South Cof. Con. went at 11.90. while Seven Troughs of Nevada came in lsst at S9 and 0c. Tha open board trsdlng. as usual, was much heavier than that of tha regular call, there being- a well represented list of stocks coming to the front. The most , Important seller of the call was May Day. which sold In large blocks from 2S to 20c from where It reacted to 21c and closed with the latter price bid. Columbus Con. was strong at $5. OS. several hundred share chanxlng hands. Daly Judge sold a couple of odd lots at $11.25 and $11.50. Grand Central was in demand at $4 .90. while Mountain Iake furnished considerable consider-able excitement, the stock going at 87 and 88c. Victoria, after a long silence, sold at $3.30.
