Show UNCLE SAM'S SUPPLY OF TORPEDOES SHORT BOSTON, July 19. "There re not enough torpedoes in this country today to tight one round in a combat with another nation," said Congressman Fred A. Britten of Illinois, a member of the house naval committee, today on hie arrival at the Charlestown navy yard. With the others of the committee, commit-tee, Mr. Britten is making an inspection inspec-tion of the naval stations on the Atlantic At-lantic coast. "Immediately on my return to Washington," Wash-ington," he said, "I shall introduce an order to double the capacity of the tor-pedo tor-pedo station at Newport." |
