BAND COMPETITION TO FEATURE FAIR The director of the Utah state fair have announced that ona of the fea tures of the exposition will be a mu ical program. It 1 planned to have as many Utah band a possible compete com-pete for prics in the new coliseum Wednesday night, October 1. A caah prize of $300 will be given to the band winning the first prize. Medal and cup will be awarded to th other prize winning organization. Letters are now being sent out to the leader of every band in the state. The condition of the eonteat are inclosed in th letter. According to the rule which have been arranged, the bands which will enter the coneat will be grouped aceording to size. By follow lag this plan the director hope that fair ruling will be made and that every band will have an equal chanee toward winning the first prize.
