Grand Army of the Republic, Re-public, this mornlnc by Col. M. M. Kalchn. Colonel Kalshn heads a committee com-mittee Id charge of raising funds to send the Utah delecatlon to the reunion. He reported that the necessary funds would be raised on a note which the state legislature will pay. The last legi- -lature Intended to make an appropriation, but at present the funds srs not available. avail-able. The session was called to order at 10:30 o'clock. In I. O. O. Features of the meeting were the reports of the various offlcere--and the appointment of a committee com-mittee on resolutions, headed by Colonel Kalghn. The snnual meeting of the state relief corps was also held this morning at Odd Fellows' hall. These corps are O. Howard How-ard Relief. Maxwell-McKean. the Circle and Provo. Following a brief meeting committees from these corns served a banquet to 400 members of the G. A. R-and R-and the women of the corps. Both the G. A. It. and the relief corps reconvened shortly after 2 o'clock to bold the annual election of officers. The soldiers sol-diers will elect a department commander, a senior vice commsnder, a lunlor vice commander, medical director, chaplain, and patriotic Instructor. While rivalry for these offices Is keen among the can-dldatss. can-dldatss. It Is understood that Capt. Reuben Reu-ben Oehler of Maxwell-McKean post Is In tha lead for the department commandet-ahTp. commandet-ahTp.
