Show MORMON CONEEKENCE TO START FRIDAY The eighty-third annual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will convene in the tabernacle tab-ernacle at 10 o'clock Friday morning and will continue in session for three days, ending with the annual confer ence of th Sunday school union Sunday Sun-day night. While it is a v u.t.J , v. a . . k - i . of visitors will be prraent from all parts of the intermountain country, it is believed that the attendance will be below normal for an April conference. This will be due to the lateaess .of spring, whieh has prevented many of the farmers from getting in their crops and who will remain at home should the present fine weather continue. con-tinue. President Joseph V. Smith will like Ir preside at the opening session ot the conferecce and will likely deliver the principal address of the opening session. This address will be what is known as the "keynote" speech of the conference. In addition to the sessions of the general conference and the Sunday school conference there will be a large number of meetings of elders and Saints held during the last three days of the week. |
