Show $1,200,000 TO BEOAISEDOI UTAH 10 40 HOORS State Pride Is in Hands of Big Corporations, Say Those in Charge of Campaign Cam-paign for Liberty Bonds SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS A DAY for the next two days is what Utah will have to raise in Liberty bond subscription sub-scription if the state js to meet the apportionment assigned by the United States treasury department. The total subscription to date In eluding several lai-ge subscriptions which have been promised the Liberty loan committee, amount to approximately approx-imately S5.S00.0OO. Utah's quota, was S.SOO.00. leaving 11.200.000 yet to be raised. One hundred thousand dollars of tha deficit reported yesterday haa been provided by Thomas Kearns and David Keith, each subscribing; $60,000. In addition ad-dition to this subscriptions are expected expect-ed from Ogden amounting In grand total to mure than SI. 000.000. Salt Lake has raised about S3.S00.0O0. and something some-thing In excess of $600,000 Is expected to come In from various parts of the state. Raising tha remainder of the money is squarely up to the big corporations of the state. The Liberty loan commlt-I commlt-I tee said today that small subscriptions in I'tah have surpassed proportionately those of almost every other state in the nation, but that In the matter of large j subscriptions the slats was far down the ladder. As a means of stimulating subscriptions subscrip-tions every hank In Halt Lake will remain re-main open until o'clock in the evening eve-ning on Wednesday and Thursday. Hubscripttons will be taken at any of the banks up to that hour and Information Infor-mation bureaus will be established to furnish ail Information relative to the purchase of bonds. Following are two telegrams received re-ceived by the Liberty loan committee today : Answering your telegram Ith, we Lake pleasure stating I&000 of our subscription Liberty loan will be transferred twelfth federal reserve re-serve district, Han Francisco, aa contribution for our Halt Lake City house.
