Patten of Provo bench cams vary nearly being killed last evening while walking along tha pavement on the atata road near the Hpencer schoolhouse. A big car with a pot light was approaching and W. E. oeee, in order to pass tha car with the spot light, crowded too near the edge of ths paved road and In trying to pass the big car the spot light so blinded htm that he did not see Mr. and Mrs. Patten In time to avoid striking the former. He was brought to Provo, where fifteen to j twenty stitches were taken In a gash over ft1 aar.
