Show JUDGE BELNAP OF OGDEN DIES OGDEN Hyrum A. Belnap, 49. dty Judge of Ogden for the last seven years, was found dead at his home at 7:30 a. m. Saturday. His d-ath was attributed to a heart ailment by Dr. Conrad H. J,nmn '1 He had been 111 for two days, although al-though he had continued with his official duties. Judge Belnap was born In Ogden Og-den May 26, 1890, on of Hyrum and Mrs. Christiana Chris-tiana Rasmussen Belnap. He had spent his entire life In Ogden, with the exception excep-tion of two years in Germany as i an L. D. S. mis- Judge Belnap sionary, iw to .1911. He graduated In 1918 from the law school of the University of Utah. He was an active member Of the American Legion, having served In the signal corps of the U. S. army during the World war. He married Lois Foster, September Sep-tember 14, 1921, In the Salt Lake City L. D. S. temple. He was president of the Weber We-ber L. D. S. stake Young Men't Mutual Improvement association from 1922 to 1924. In June. 1924, he was named counselor to Bishop J. H. Riley of the Ogden L. D. S. Eleventh ward, a position he held until 1926, when he moved from the stake. - He had been president ot the high priests of the Ogden L. D. S. Thirteenth ward, and was secretary secre-tary of tht group at the time of bis death. Surviving art hit widow; two sons and two daughters, David, Ronald, Ruth Ellen and Kathleen Belnap, all of Ogden, and the fol-loing fol-loing brothers and sisters: Flora Belnap, Mrs. Conrad H. Jenson, Arias Q. Belnap, Volney and Delia Belnap, Mrs. Gladys Carwin, Byron By-ron Belnap, all of Ogden; Mrs. Walter A. Kerr of Salt Lak City; Dr. H. Earl Belnap of Reno, Nev.; Mrs. Jewel Furnest, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Tuesday at 2 p. m. In the Thirteenth L. D. S. ward chapel by Bishop Ray Williams. Interment will be In the Ogden city cemetery with military services serv-ices being conducted by the Herman Her-man Baker pott No. t ot the American Legion. |
