"The Utah Oil job is not the first ene on which the CIO have stepped over the line." the AFL. leader said. "They have been invading the field of the bartenders and the cooks snd waiters, and they stepped into the building field in Carbon county last U year. CIO officials Wednesday charged ! that th Salt Lake Building and Construction Trades council, an AFL affiliate, has been picketing AFL men on ths Utah Oil job. "One of the pickets was not ven a member of a building trades t council union." F. A. Noller, secretory of the council, confirmed the statement that at one time during the picketing picket-ing some of the men on the job were AFL men. "They belonged to unions not af- filiated with the council, but they have been disciplined and that is nil settled." Mr. Noller said. "At the present time ther are no A F L men on the job." No further meeting with the Utah . Oil Refining company officials to settle the controversy is scheduled at th present time, Mr. Noller said. |
