Show SANITY BOARD QUIZZES FIVE Examinations Held in State Prison Five Utah state prison Inmates were examined by a aanity board at the prison Wednesday to determine deter-mine whether they ahould be committed com-mitted to the state mental hospital at Provo. Unofficial opinion of board members mem-bers waa that all five men are mentally men-tally deranged, but formal determination deter-mination of their caaea will be made by Third district court order. As the board made Ita rounda of cell tiers, examining convicts, strange answers met their queries. Before the board were Gustave Gallo, convicted murderer, who haa been sentenced to death and shuttled shut-tled back and forth between the mental hospital and the prison; Robert H. Elliot, convicted of first degree murder; Clifford Bramble, firebug who set biases causing heavy financial looses In Salt Lake City and In California: George Burns, convicted of aaaault with Intent In-tent to rape; Jacob C. Gillian, convicted con-victed with aasault with a deadly weapon. Members of the board were Dr. F. J. Curds. Dr. Reed Harrow, Dr. Stephen H. Beslry, who Is the prison physician, and Third District Court Judge P. C. Evana. Bramble waa examined by the board in the "hole," where he la kept In solitary confinement because be-cause of his mental condition. His only answer to questions were repeated re-peated snarls of: "You're burning me up, you , you're burning me up, you're poisoning poison-ing me." The negro. Gallo, who haa been shunted back and forth between the prison and the mental hospital, successively sentenced to death, declared insane, then declared legally sane, talked to the board concerning hla health.
