Show RISHEL NAMED HEAD OF SAFETY COUNCIL W. D. Rinhel. manager of the Utah State Automobile association, j Thursday assumed his duties as i chairman of th Central Council' for Traffic Safety following an organisation or-ganisation meeting at the chamber of commerce. Ray Pinney, chairman of the junior chamber of commerce safety committee and secretary to Mayor1 E. B. Erwln. waa chosen secretary. ! Tha council voted to request Mayor Erwin to study a proposal to conduct a one-minute memorial, at 2 p. m. September 20, when all In- i dustry would pause out of respect to those killed in traffic accident. Th memorial would be a feature of Traffic Safety week, September 18 to 25. The council planned to station wrecked automobiles on Sslt Lake I City streets as mute warning of the I coat of carelessness and theaters 1 will be asked to show traffic aafety films. ' ! |
