SURETY FIRM SETTLES CASE PRICE A settlement of $2500 was made Monday by the American Ameri-can Bonding company of Baltimore Balti-more and the United States Fidelity Fidel-ity and Guaranty company to Carbon Car-bon county as a compromise settlement settle-ment In a case against Dr. C R. Fahrlng. chairman of the Carbon county commission, J. O. Peterson, and. William A Engle and the bonding companies according to Judge George Christ men. According record of Judgment fixed In the office of the court clerk, by stipulation between the attorneys for Carbon county and the attorneys for the bonding companies, com-panies, the Judgment wss given. Attorneys for the plaintiff then made a motion that the caie against the commlslsoners be dismissed, dis-missed, , The case grew out of alleged misappropriation of funds In 73 Instances amounting to approximately approxi-mately $7000. According to the Judgment given by Judge Christen-sen, Christen-sen, each and every cause of action was declared Illegal and paid out of money belonging to Carbon county without authority of Isw. Carbon county was ordered to recover from the American Bonding Bond-ing company and the United States Fidelity and Guaranty company the sum -of 82900.
