Fairbanks, 24, of 1236 Roosevelt avenue, was given F( a six-month jail sentence in police court Friday for operating a motor vehicle without a driver's license and was fined $50 " and sentenced to serve 30 davs in the citv tail for reckless to driving. 4 Fairbanks, who previously pleaded plead-ed innocent changed his plea to guilty on both charges. City Judge Albert H. Ellett granted him a stay of execution on the six-month sentence sen-tence until June 29. The 30-day jail sentence for reckless driving was suspended on condition that the fine is paid. With his plea of guilty to reckless reck-less driving he was automatically barred from obtaining a driver's license and from driving an automobile auto-mobile on Utah roads for three months. Forfeits Bond Charles H. Pierce, 49, of Sandy, forfeited $5 bond on a speeding charge. Clarence Gabriel, 1143 East Thirteenth Thir-teenth South street and Mrs. J. S. Steed. 2325 Evergreen avenue, each forfeited $5 bond on a charge of Ignoring a stop sign. Five dollar bonds on charges ot Ignoring stop lights were forfeited forfeit-ed by Morris J. Edelman, 12644 South Main street and H. P. Cannon, Can-non, 48 Jefferson street. Olene Wh I taker of Farmlngton forfeited $5 bond on a charge of making a right turn through a red light without stopping. Others Penalised Peter B. Long!, 164 East Seventh Sev-enth South street forfeited $2 bond on a charge of failing to give an arm signal before making a left turn. Four alleged jaywalkers forfeited forfeit-ed $1 bonds. They were D. M. Weiler of 379 First avenue; D. L. Bryant 258 East Sixth South street; Charles Henderson, 34 North Seventh West street and J. J. Kumaralas, whose address was not given on polios court records. |
