We expect him and Ilrolher Gardner here in about six weeks. 1 have received a strong testimony ol Ihe Gospel, and learned to trust in out Heavenly l ather much mute since I came to this land. I rememlier well receiving re-ceiving word of Cuutin David li's death, when 1 hid been hero some five months. Previous to that.ttme, 1 would oitcn gel uneasy, and wonder where my neit money or suit of clothes was cum lug horn; even when I had some money in my pocket. And 1 would write home and tell the folks thai I was about oul ol money, and wanted to know if they could nut send me some, hut there came a change when 1 read the last humble and kind letter written 10 you by David betore his death. When I read how good he had been to the poor, and gone with part ol hit shoe sole worn oil, and no money in his pocket, 1 felt so ashamed of myself because 1 had not trusted in God mure, lhat I went into the woods and asked God tu look over my weakness, and if he would lor give me, 1 would try loput more trust 111 linn in the luture. I i.ivld's letter was the cause ot my residing my weaK neases. I can say I have never been happier or more blessed than I have since 1 made those promise..
