It is to the effect that both Christie and O'Brien wanted to run things, and the directors, seeing' nothing bat ruin ahead for the Salt Lake club with two men fighting against each other in . the team, decided to let O'Brien go. It was not because Jack had not been getting get-ting into the game that he was released. Spauldlng, Salt Lake's crack first baseman, base-man, has deserted the Christie camp, owing ow-ing to the O'Brien trouble, and now Bait Lake la short two infield players. O'Brien and Spauldlng, however, have decided to remain in the city, and are planning to put a professional team in at Lagoon. They have already made arrangements with the Lagoon management, and are beginning to make connections with Eastern East-ern ball-players. O'Brien thinks the Fort Douglas team can be strengthened so that a four-team league can be organised within with-in the next month. .'
