Show at noon Monday at Post Office place, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. George T. Parkinson Parkin-son were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Maude Amunsen in Salt Lake City. In honor of Mrs. Jack Stanford of Salt Lake City, who was 77 vears old April 3, her son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. J. J Doyle, were hosts Tuesday evening even-ing at a surprise birthday party. Twenty-one friends gathered at the Doyle home for an evening of cards and a tasty luncheon. Five Hundred prizes went to Mrs. H R Gust, Mrs. William Swain- ston, Mrs. B. C. Snyder, Mrs. Edith Peterson, A. E. Miller, William Wil-liam Swainston, A. V. Peterson. Word was received Wednesday by Mrs. Loretta Galloway of Salt Lake City that her son, Gunner's Mate Wallace Galloway, on convoy con-voy duty in the Atlantic was killed in action en route to an undisclosed destination. The navy na-vy department stated he was buried at sea April 3. The son of the late Parley Galloway of Vernal, Ver-nal, Gunner's Mate Galloway had four sisters: Mrs. H. Glines, Bingham Bing-ham Canyon; Mrs. Ira E. Moss, Highland Boy, Mrs. Leo Taylor of Salt Lake City and Mrs." El-don El-don Perry of Vernal; and three brothers, Melvert Galloway of Vernal and Eugene, with the army in Europe and George, serving ser-ving with the air corps with a New York A P.O.
