Show URGE PASSAGE OF REFERENDUM BILL The initiation and referendum bill was the chief matter up for consideration considera-tion at the open meeting of the Judiciary Judi-ciary committee of the Senate this morning. Some prominent persons were present, and H. W. LawTence, father of Senator Lawrence, Charles Crane and L. E. Hall spoke In favor of the bill and urged that the committee pass favorably upon it. Senator Sherman is the only one opposing op-posing the measure on the committee, and at his suggestion further consideration consider-ation upon the same by the committee was postponed until next Monday morning. |
