Show PROSPERITY ISJHOWN Gain of 25 Per Cent by Rocky Mountain Bell Telephone Company. The stockholders of the Rocky Mountain Moun-tain Bell Telephone company held their annual meeting yesterday afternoon. An increase of 25 per cent in the business was reported!, as compared with the preceding pre-ceding fiscal year. The exchange earnings were reported as $478,832.68; toll earnings, 8324,110.48; miscellaneous earnings, $60,200.96; gross earnings, IS63.144.12. The total expenses amounted to $648,101.37, making a net gain of $215,042.73. The dividends paid amounted to $134,863.50; balance to surplus, sur-plus, $80,179.25. The report showed twenty-three new exchanges established during the year, 2310 new toll line wires strung, 6280 new subscribers added, 200 of these being in Salt Lake. The total number of subscribers sub-scribers on the system now amounts to 19,000. There are 16,000 miles of toll lines In operation, ninety-six exchanges, and 2727 toll stations. The stockholdiers re-elected the old board of directors, with the exception of Charles W. Clark, who is no longer a resident of Montana, and whose place was filled by the election of former Gov. B. F. White of Montana, The directors organized by electing these officers: President, G. Y. Wallace; vice-president. G. M. Downey; treasurer, W. S. McCornlck; secretary, H.' C. Hill; general manager, D. S. Murray; auditor, P. R. Ferguson; assistant treasurer, John Flowers; assistant secretary, D. S. Murray. |
