SEVERAL SPECIAL CARS WERE required to carry the big crowd of . pleasure-seekers . who went . from Taylorsville, Hurry and Sandy to Lagoon Friday morning.. All of the people who live in that part of the county who could leave their work or their homes today, took train for that beautiful resort early in the morning. There is not an attraction attrac-tion at Lagoon that is not being well patronized by the excursionists. This popular resort, more beautiful than ever, has been one of the most , attractive and most heavily patronized patron-ized during the season. The resort has entertained more persons and a greater number of . excursions : than ever before up to this time. 11 THE ROLL OF DRUMS AND THE shrill tones of the fife will be heard at Lagoon Monday, when the Grand Army of the Republic, Department of Utah, gives its big outing for th purpose of raising funds to prop- . erly represent the department at the grand encampment to be held In. Boston next month. The veterans of the Civil war will march to the train in a body early In the morn- . ing, and will be Joined by their friends later in the day. The big bean dinner, to be given by the vet- erans, will be one of the moat attractive at-tractive features of the day. |
