Clark of Montana, was in Ogden yesterday en route to Arizona. . Speaking of the Presidential situation, he expressed himself as confident that the next President would be a Democrat. He said either Gorman or Cleveland would be nominated by the Democrats, giving Cleveland the preference. He said that Wall street and the financial centers of the East are against President Roosevelt, but be would be nominated by the Republicans. Repub-licans. He expressed the conviction that Roosevelt would be defeated. |
